Why did you start Liv-Chic?
Liv-Chic was started in 2007 by Hilary White, ID. Hilary has been doing interior design work in NYC for years and was constantly looking for affordable furniture for her clients. After finding manufacturers to create her occasional custom piece she saw a void in the marketplace for beautiful and reasonably priced modern baroque home furnishings. One thing led to another and, VOILA – Liv-Chic was born.
Where is Liv-Chic located?
Liv-Chic is an on-line store with offices in Lynbrook, NY (on Long Island). We are hoping to open a NYC based showroom in 2011.

How do I get measurements and yardage information for the products on your site?
If you do not see measurements or yardage information measurements and yardage inquiries are handled by request. To request this information e-mail Karen at LivChicInfo@gmail.com. Keep in mind that every piece is made custom for you, so feel free to adjust our measurements to fit your space, mattress and life – just be sure to let us know the changes! Due to the handmade and handcarved nature of our lines of beds and seating, all measurements given are approximate and orders are not returned or discounted due to slight variations.
Where is the furniture made?
We have two wonderful manufacturers here at Liv-Chic. Our goods are manufactured by an American family owned business in Egypt and in the Jakarta Furniture District of Indonesia.
What payment forms do you accept?
Liv-Chic accepts credit card or check payments. There is approximately a 2.9% convenience charge for paying with a credit card and the payment is processed through PayPal. We request 50% deposit on all items (including shipping) when the initial order is placed. The remainder of the payment is due after pictures of your items are received and approved before shipping to the states.
I can’t decide how to upholster my dream piece, should I order?
Liv-Chic makes available two upholstering options. Option 1 – a designer consultation is provided free with purchase of a piece from us. Send us pictures of your space and we will link you up with fabrics and finishes we recommend to fit your space. Option 2 – C.O.M. or Customers Own Material is accepted. There is a $50 fee for us to mail the fabric to our manufacturer that can be added at time of purchase or with your final payment.
How long will my furniture take to arrive?
Orders generally don’t take longer than 12-18 weeks to complete. All furniture is shipped as part of a large Liv-Chic container, so depending on how close we are to filling the container will effect the wait time. Be sure to ask when you order what your expected shipping time will be.
I saw a piece I love, can you recreate it? Do you work with drawings?
We do offer a full range of bespoke services, so send us your dream piece and the site you found it on and we promise competitive pricing. Everything is custom, so create the piece exactly as you want it to look.
Where do you ship and how much?
We ship all over the United States. Shipping prices vary depending on location and weight. The higher the weight the lower the freight! We use HEP Direct White Glove shipping service out of North Carolina. Be sure to shoot an e-mail to LivChicInfo@gmail.com and ask about shipping for your zip-code and order size.
Do I have to put together all the furniture myself?
Nope, we use HEP Direct White Glove Delivery Service all around the US. They are a full service delivery company and installation is included. We would never risk you chipping your nail polish!
